After an early breakfast, you travel to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa. Here, in Agulhas National Park, the warm Agulhas Current from the Indian Ocean meets the cold Benguela Current of the Atlantic, creating dramatic seas and a coastline shaped by powerful, shifting waters. You visit the historic 1849 lighthouse, inspired by the Pharos of Alexandria, and follow a short path to the stone cairn marking the official tip of the continent. The area offers sweeping ocean views, seasonal wildflowers, abundant birdlife, and, from June to November—especially August to October—possible sightings of Southern Right Whales.*

Your journey continues to Gansbaai, world-famous for its Great White Sharks. Here you may choose to join an exhilarating shark cage diving experience, entering the water in a secure cage to see these impressive predators up close. For guests who prefer to stay dry, observing the sharks from the boat is equally thrilling and offers an exciting, educational view of their natural behaviour.*

From June to November, the sheltered waters of Walker Bay come alive with Southern Right Whales, breaching, tail-slapping, and caring for their calves just metres from shore. Humpbacks, Bryde’s whales, playful dolphins, seals, seabirds, and even the occasional Great White Shark add to the spectacle. Join a 2-hour Big Five Marine Cruise for an up-close encounter, or simply watch the whales from the shore—both experiences are equally thrilling.*

For a slower pace, wander the charming streets of Hermanus, savour fresh seafood and oysters at gourmet restaurants, and soak in the views of the Atlantic Ocean. After lunch, enjoy a wine tasting session at the award-winning wineries of Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, famed for world-class Pinot Noir.
